Alcazar Sarayı özellikleri nelerdir?
Granada'daki El-Hamra Sarayından esinlenerek yaptırılmış olan bu saray 1366 yılından beri 700 yıl boyunca İspanya krallarına ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Sevilla'daki islam kültürünün Endülüs mimarisinin en bariz örneği diyebiliriz. Saraya girer girmez kendinizi islam motifleriyle, kapılarıyla, pencereleriyle, çinileriyle ve yazılarıyla karşılaşmış bulabilirsiniz.
Kral ve kraliçenin yaz aylarında tatil için geldikleri dönemde buranın üst katını kullandığı söylenir. Aynı zamanda eski kral Juan Carlos'un kızının 1995'teki düğünü de bu sarayda yapılmıştır. Saray şu anda müzeye dönüştürülmüş. İlk katında farklı farklı bölümlere girebiliyorsunuz ve her tarafında bir havuz ve çeşme görebiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca kabartma ve çinilerle süslenmiş her yer. İkinci katında ise sergilenen çini ve motiflerle dolu yapılarıyla müze tadında bir hali var ancak dediğimiz gibi üst katı kral ve kraliçenin ziyaretleri için de ayrılmış. 


Bu sarayın bir diğer özelliği ise Kraliçe 1.İsabel'in Kristof Kolomb ve arkadaşlarını bu saraydan uğurlamasıdır. Zaten saray Sevilla Katedraline çok yakın. Yürüyerek bile ulaşabilirsiniz. Sarayın hemen yanında Alcazar bahçeleri var ve muhteşem bahçeler gerçekten. Havuzlar, çeşit çeşit ağaçlar, güzel peyzaj düzenlemeleri, çeşmeler, tavus kuşları ve sarayı çevreleyen surlar buraya ayrı bir hava katmış. Alcazar adı da zaten arapçadaki El-Kasr'dan gelmektedir.




Giriş ücreti, ziyaret saatleri nedir?
Alcazar Sarayı her gün 09:30-19:00 arası ziyaretlere açık.  Giriş ücreti ise kişi başı 9,5 Euro. Üst katını da gezmek isterseniz ayrıca 4,5 Euro daha vermeniz gerekiyor. Saray, Pazartesi günleri 18:00-19:00 saatleri arasında ücretsiz olarak ziyaret edilebiliyor.Eğer geziniz pazartesi gününe denk geliyorsa bu gününde sarayı gezmenizi öneririm. İçerisinde hediyelik eşyaların satıldığı bir de butik var. Dilerseniz oradan da alışveriş yapabilirsiniz ama dışarıya göre biraz pahalı olduğunu belirtmem gerekiyor.
