Lana Del Rey kimdir, hayatı, hakkındaki herşey

Elizabeth Woolridge "Lizzy" Grant, (d. 21 Haziran 1986, New York City), daha çok sahne adı olan Lana Del Rey ismi ile bilinen, Amerikan şarkıcı ve söz yazarıdır. 
Grant, New York City'de dünyaya geldi; Lake Placid isimli kasabada büyüdü. 15 yaşındayken Connecticut'da bulunan denizcilik okulu Kent School'a girdi. Babası Rob Grant, domain yatırımcısıdır ve Lana'yı şarkıcılık kariyerine başladığı ilk yıllardan beri desteklemiştir.
Del Rey New York'taki Fordham University'de okumuştur.
Lana Del Rey'in tarzı "kendine özgü gangster Nancy Sinatra" olarak tanımlanmıştır. Lana Del Rey, kontralto ses aralığına sahiptir. Lana müzikal etkileşimleri olarak Britney Spears, Kurt Cobain ve Elvis Presley'i gösterir.
Vogue dergisine verdiği bir röportajda "Hep daha melodik bir ismim olsun istemiştim...Bir süreliğine Miami'ye gitmiştim. Kübalı arkadaşlarımla uzunca bir süre İspanyolca konuştum. Lana Del Rey ismi bize deniz kenarındaki o cazibeyi çağrıştırdı. Söylerken kulağa muhteşem geliyor." demiştir.
Del Rey Kasım 2008'de Lizzy Grant takma ismiyle Kill Kill isimli ilk EP'sini çıkardı. Bu EP'nin içerisinde "Kill Kill", "Yayo" ve "Gramma (Blue Ribbon Sparkler Trailer Heaven)" isimli üç şarkı bulunmaktadır.
Del Rey ilk olarak 18 yaşında New York'taki klüplerde şarkı söylemeye başladı. 20 yaşında 5 Points Records ile ilk anlaşmasını yaptı ve Haziran 2010 tarihinde Lana Del Rey A.K.A. Lizzy Grantisimli albümünü yayınladı. Interscope, Polydor ve Stranger Records ile anlaşma imzaladı ve ilk single'ı Video Games'i yönetmenliğini yine kendi üstlendiği bir müzik videosu ile YouTube'da yayınladı. Şarkı ve klibin internette tutulması üzerine ikinci stüdyo albümü olan Born To Die'ı Ocak 2012 tarihinde yayınladı. Albüm dünya genelinde 2.8 milyon kopya sattı ve 2012'nin en çok satılan albümleri arasında yer edinmeyi başardı. Üçüncü EP'sinin (Paradise) Born to Die ile birleşiminden oluşan Born To Die: The Paradise Edition albümü ilk haftada 67,000 kopyadan fazla sattı ve Billboard 200listesinde 10. sıradan girdi. Şu ana kadar diskografisine bakıldığında 2 adet yayınlanmış stüdyo albümü, 3 EP'si, 7 single'ı ve 8 müzik videosu vardır.
